ABOUT AYURVEDA
Ayurveda is a healing science from ancient India that has been used for thousands of years worldwide to promote balance, health and harmony between mind, body, and self or spirit. Ayur meaning life and Veda meaning wisdom or science, Ayurveda is a life science that looks at lifestyle and nutrition along with community and environment in relation to individual wellbeing.
Ayurveda considers our health from a whole person perspective: daily hygiene, lifestyle and nutrition, community and environmental factors, season and time of life, along with the personal make-up that makes you, YOU.
Ayurveda applies universal concepts to understand health at any level and disease at any manifestation.
We look at the impact of the 5 elements that surround us; Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth and the qualities that influence us. Along with the 5 senses that allow us to perceive the elements; Hearing, Touch, Vision, Taste, and Smell. These components make up the function of our mind and body and can be targeted through specific therapies to promote balance.
From these considerations, we collaborate on the aspects that are imbalanced to create a series of recommendations personal and unique to you. Sessions may include:
